
Director of Talent Acquisition, Marriott International
Ben has 18+ years of experience in recruiting, providing strategic and tactical recruiting services to organizations including Marriott, McGladrey, The MITRE Corporation, Intelsat and BAE Systems. In each of these roles, Ben has been a leader in promoting the applications of technology in recruiting, advocating collaboration and community building, utilizing metrics to improve performance and developing out-of-the-box tactics to identify talent.
Ben joined Marriott International in 2010 as Director of Talent Acquisition where he has led the company’s Global ATS Implementation and Mobile Recruiting Strategy. Prior to Marriott, Ben was National Recruiting Director at McGladrey, where he was responsible for program and strategy development for the country’s 5th largest Accounting Firm, including the implementation and launch of the firm’s social recruiting platform.
Ben is also the Founder and President of recruitDC, a recruiting organization developed by Washington, DC-Area recruiters for DC-Area recruiters, which produces a series of conference-style events that attracts national speakers and highlights local best practices.
Ben is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Ben has authored recruiting blogs, been quoted in major media publications, spoken at several national and regional recruiting conferences, and served as a board member of WTPF (a DC-based HR organization) from 2006-07.
